Deep in Ger(wo)many, a terrorist cell prepares itself to bring about the day of freedom for all female people.  Disguised as a convent school, the Female Liberation Army covertly trains its pupils in overthrowing the patriarchy via political subversion and sexual liberation.  But when this ‘army of lovers’ suspects a traitor in its midst, to what extremes will it go to root them out?  The newest feature from provocateur extraordinaire Bruce LaBruce, The Misandrists is a wryly humorous, often outrageous take on queer politics, which comes to Behind the Curtain direct from its UK and Scottish festival premieres.

Programmed by Scottish Queer International Film Festival. SQIFF Programmer Marc David Jacobs will be in attendance to introduce the film and for a post-screening chat. #BTCfeministfilmclub

Content note: depiction of violence and real surgical operations, discussion of sexual assault.
